The Library & Archive Volunteer supports the work of the Dobell-Moseley Library and Archive by assisting librarians with the care, organisation, and accessibility of library and archive materials. This role helps ensure the library remains a welcoming, safe, and valuable research resource for staff, volunteers, and members of the public.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supporting the team of librarians in the day-to-day running of the Library and Archive
•Tidying and maintaining library and archive areas to keep them neat, safe, and organised
•Assisting with local history research enquiries for members of the public
•Helping to digitise archive materials to improve access and preservation
•Cataloguing new books, documents, and archive materials into the collection
•Handling library and archive materials carefully and in line with guidelines
•Following health, safety, and data protection procedures at all times
