Role Purpose The Events Support Volunteer plays an important role in helping to deliver a wide range of events at Torfaen Museum. Supporting museum staff, this role helps ensure events of all sizes run smoothly, safely, and successfully, contributing to positive experiences for visitors, community groups, and partner organisation. Key Responsibilities Supporting the setup, delivery, and pack-down of museum events Assisting with a range of events including museum tours, conferences, community room bookings, and family activities Welcoming and directing visitors, guests, and event participants Providing general support to staff, presenters, and partner organisations during events Helping to prepare event spaces, including arranging furniture and equipment Ensuring event areas are kept safe, tidy, and well-presented Assisting with basic monitoring of visitor numbers and feedback where required Following health, safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times
